On July 20th, 1969, the Saturn V rocket helped astronauts land on the moon for the first time in the Apollo 11 mission. Arrowhead Products supplied all the propellant feedlines for the first stage of the Saturn Launch Vehicle used to put the men on the moon 50 years ago. The system consisted of 30 duct assemblies in 12 through 20 inch diameters, some as long as 50 feet in length.
The Saturn V was one of the biggest and most challenging programs in Arrowhead Products’ history of Space programs, involving a great amount of original design work. This is just one of many of the contributions Arrowhead Products has made to the Aerospace industry.
